Lance Watson

VP & COO

As Vice President and Chief Operating Officer, Lance Watson is responsible for day-to-day operations at Avansic. He oversees all research and development efforts for both the company and external clients. Lance is a founder of Avansic and has been working as part of the management team since then.

Watson received his Master of Science in Computer Science from the University of Tulsa where he focused on computer and network security research. He has earned five of the federal Committee on National Security Systems and the National Security Telecommunications and Information Systems Security Committee information assurance certifications.

Watson's focus areas are digital forensics and mobile device forensics. His background in wireless software development assists greatly in understanding the working of cellular networks and mobile device record analysis.

Watson worked for eight years at Boston Communications Group where he helped develop and implement innovative software technologies for voicemail systems. He also assisted with the deployment of a broad range of prepaid wireless network services in North and South America and the Caribbean.

Watson acts as an expert witness for matters at Avansic including courtroom and depositions as well as consulting. His focus areas are digital forensics and mobile device forensics. His background in wireless software development assists greatly in understanding the working of cellular networks and mobile device record analysis.

Watson frequently contributes to Avansic's whitepapers on trending forensic topics and presents Continuing Legal Education presentations regarding digital forensic topics and the analysis of digital forensic data artifacts.
